Mauve, a pale purple color with a touch of grey, features a wealthy and fascinating history. The colour was initially learned in 1856 by a younger chemist named William Henry Perkin. With the age of just 18, Perkin was seeking to synthesize quinine, a cure for malaria, from coal tar. Rather, he unintentionally made a different synthetic dye, which
